When making payments from a mobile device, the buyer saves the card in their e-wallet application, thereby initiating the token issue. SOLAR Token Management prepares the necessary data to request tokens according to the wallet developer’s specifications and the international payment system the card belongs to. For each transaction, the application uses a token and a cryptogram working as a one-time code. The payment system verifies the cryptogram and matches the token with the card number. Because the token can be managed, deleted or renewed separately from the bank card, its usage allows the transaction to be tracked without the risk of compromising real data. Even if a fraudster managed to get the token, it is not possible to create a cryptogram without the specific mobile device.


SOLAR Token Management offers the ability to store confidential card details and generate secure identifiers for recurring transfers in a banking application. Operations on saved cards are seamlessly performed through SOLAR Payment Hub or through a third-party system; in this case, SOLAR Token Management ensures the card number transfer by a specified identifier. Thus, in the requests of the banking application, the card number is not transmitted and remains in secure storage.


SOLAR Token Management supports payments on saved cards initiated by online stores. The user enters their card data only once on the online store, confirms their permission to save the card data and in subsequent operations, the unique identifier of the saved card will be automatically used. The store itself can implement regular payments for subscriptions or monthly utility charges, for example.

It’s also very convenient for the user to save their card for subsequent purchases directly on the acquirer’s payment page. In both cases, the card data will be securely protected in external storage, and potential scammers will not be able to intercept it since only the identifier will be involved in the payment operation.
